Philippine Music Gear Show: Early Christmas for Musicians

the event runs from 9am to 12mn
with a mini concert series starting at 8pm
With how Turi described it, I kinda pictured a NAMM meets concert tour event. And that's exactly what it is. A stadium filled with music gear as far as the eye can see. The word bliss is coming into mind. Two days to go.

The Philippine Annual Music Gear Show has now evolved yet again: it now has it's own tour. November 11 and 12 kicks of the First Philippine Annual Music Gear Show Tour at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City. The event shall showcase instruments, cables, pedals, literature and accessories of International brands and boutique makers as well as local pedal, accessory builders and luthier master pieces. Of course, the big players in the local music instruments industry will also be showcasing their wares. If I'm not mistaken, the first thousand people who go get some swag at the door.

Ah, free stuff. One imagines if this can get any better.

It does.

last year's Music Gear Show held at Mag:net High Street
With the entrance only costing P100, you not only get to be part of history in the making, change upon amazing music gear (some of it aren't available in the music stores of the big boys), meet fellow musicians and pedal heads and take home some freebies (assuming you make the first 1000 people), if you stay until 8pm, you'll actually be able to watch the amazing performances of some of the local music scene's bands and musicians. With the likes of Barbie Almalbis, Karel Honasan, Eternal Now, Fuseboxx and the masters Bobby Taylo and Wally Gonzales churning out epic performances, how can you not say that your one hundred bucks was well spent?

guitars, pedals, accessories, cymbals... G.A.S. Heaven!
Christmas shopping does start early in the Philippines, but this is the first time that Christmas shopping for musicians started this early. The gates open at 9am, but I suggest you go earlier if you want to get some swag.

If anybody is thinking of getting me anything from Christmas, and you're going to the Gear Show, I'd be happy with a set of lava patch cables and/or a mono bass case. Just in case you guys want to get me something.
