Not-So-Secret-Friday

Schedule Swap

People look forward to Friday for so many reasons: Last day to see your office computer and answer emails. Party-hard! night. For the family person, Friday is the time when most (if not all) family members actually get to sit down and eat dinner together and just catch up with what happened during the week. For others, it signals the start of the weekend... and that means hobby group meetings and play dates.

Friday usually holds no special meaning to me except that it should remind me to start working on my set list for praise and worship for the Building Bridges Fellowship on Sunday. That and the usual invitation to hang out with friends after office hours.

Today, however, Friday has gone beyond the usual set list reminder alarm and the "let's hang out later" invite. I was supposed to go with my good friend (and boss!) John-D Borra (who has an excellent blog with lots of reflections and insights) and Ralph Lumo to Pampanga to attend Oktoberpraise, but something came up and I can't leave Manila. T_T

But the amazing thing is that I ended up scheduling a songwriting session with the amazing songwriter-singer-dancer-otaku Zoreen Macaraig of the JPop/Rock cover band Yui For President, and I am so excited to be able to work with her musically as part of a super-secret-project we are both involved that will hopefully not be a secret by first quarter next year ^_^.

By the way, you can catch Yui For President LIVE at the upcoming University of the Philippines AME Monogatari, on November 12, 2011 at the World Trade Center, Philippines.

So what is this super-secret-project I'm talking about? I can't really give the details, but what I do know is that it involves Reading, Listening and Graphics (I was going to say Looking, but that just sounded weird)! Part of those on the team for this project is my brother, Migs del Mundo. Not only is he a talented and creative artist, but he does killer steaks too!
